Pamela Hammer has a complete hard copy of the settlement agreement with all of its attachments. If you would like to borrow it, to review, please email her at pamhammerfl@aol.com or call 466-6926. ------------------------------
Still waiting for the County to provide the final settlement agreement in a form that can be placed on the web site. -------------------------------- January 17th Settlement agreement reached. Will post agreement once it is signed by all parties.
January 5, 2007 No change.
------------------------------------------------ December 26, 2006 We are still waiting to see the Upland Habitat maps prepared by Kolter.
--------------------------------------------- November 28, 2006 As of yesterday there was NO SETTLEMENT between Kolter and the County. What is being discussed is a PROPOSED settlement agreement which is a draft (number 11 as of Friday). The County Commissioners would have to vote before there was a settlement agreement.
------------------------------------------- Nobember 19, 2006 The issue of counting uplang habitat on privately owned lots has not been resolved. The county is negotiating with PGA of America to preserve 110 acres on the PGA golf courses.
November 6, 2006 Discussions are on going. Kolter continues to hold firm to the position that they may count upland habitat on individual lots, never sold or owned by them.
------------------------------------- October 14, 2006 At the Board of County Commissioners meeting of October 3, county staff indicated that Kolter was only short 50-60 acres of upland habitat. HOWEVER, what you weren't told, is Kolter is counting over 170 acres on private, individual lots in Sabal Creek and Plantation Lakes.

September 17, 2006
No change
-----------------------------
August 15, 2006 The Board of County Commissioners gave Kolter until September 22 to come into compliance with the Development Order or they would proceed with legal action amoung other things.
----------------------------
July 31, 2006 No Change
----------------------------- July 22, 2006 Kolter's most recent proposed settlement agreement is worse than we saw a year ago. We do not see any forward progress.
------------------------------- June 12, 2006 NO CHANGE
-----------------------------------
May 9, 2006 Kolter sent a letter to the County Attorney on May 1, 2006 indicating the following. "While Kolter believes we are in compliance with the development order and that we have worked with the County and City to maintain compliance, we are committed to continuing to work with local government."
Will let you know the County's reaction to that correspondence.
------------------------------------- Even though Kolter representatives promised to have a map prepared by March 21, 2006, it still has not been presented to the County Staff.
